  • Preparation: Ensure all equipment and materials are clean and dry. Use deionized or distilled water at room temperature (23°C or 73°F) to achieve optimal results.
  • Mixing Ratio: Measure 20 ml of water for every 100 g of Elite Rock powder. Maintaining this precise water-to-powder ratio is crucial for achieving the desired material properties.
  • Manual Mixing: Combine the measured water and powder, then mix vigorously for 1 minute to obtain a homogeneous, creamy consistency. Alternatively, for vacuum mixing, mix for 30 seconds to reduce air entrapment and enhance the stone's strength.
  • Working Time: After mixing, you have approximately 12 minutes to pour the mixture into the impression. During this period, carefully fill the impression to avoid air bubbles, ensuring accurate reproduction of details.
  • Setting Time: Elite Rock begins to set around 14 minutes after mixing. It's advisable to avoid moving or disturbing the filled impression during this initial setting phase to prevent distortions.
  • Model Removal: Allow the stone to set undisturbed for at least 45 minutes before separating the model from the impression. Premature removal can compromise the model's integrity and accuracy.
  • Final Properties: Elite Rock achieves optimal compressive strength of 81 MPa (826 kg/cm²) after 48 hours, with minimal setting expansion of 0.08% after 2 hours, ensuring precise and durable models.

Description

Zhermack Elite Rock (C410010) is a Type IV extra-hard dental die stone specifically formulated for creating master models in fixed prosthodontics. Its silver-grey color is optimized for detection by modern laser and optical scanners, enhancing its suitability for CAD/CAM applications. This material offers high compressive strength, ensuring reduced abrasion and greater precision in model fabrication. Its balanced thixotropy simplifies mixing and facilitates easier model production. Additionally, Elite Rock exhibits low setting expansion, maintaining dimensional stability even after 48 hours, which is crucial for accurate prosthesis fabrication. These properties make Elite Rock an excellent choice for producing precise and durable models and removable dies in both fixed and removable prosthodontic applications.
