  • Preparation: Ensure all instruments and work areas are clean and ready. Use personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, mask, and eye protection, to avoid contact with the solution.
  • Application: Draw the solution into a syringe with an irrigation tip or needle.
  • Irrigation: Insert the syringe into the root canal carefully, without binding, and slowly dispense the solution into the canal. Avoid excessive pressure to reduce the risk of extrusion beyond the root apex.
  • Rinsing: Allow the solution to remain in the canal for several minutes, then rinse with saline or distilled water to neutralize and remove the hypochlorite.
  • Repeat if Necessary: Repeat irrigation as needed during the cleaning and shaping phase.
  • Safety: Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or oral mucosa, as it can cause irritation. Rinse immediately if contact occurs.
  • Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and out of reach of children.

DESTAINING PROPERTY

It has destaining properties.Among other applications, it can be used to remove mold stains, dental stains caused by fluorosis and stains on crockery, especially those caused by the tannins in tea.

ANTIBACTERIAL PROPERTY

It exhibits broad spectrum antimicrobial activity and is used for disinfecting areas contaminated with body fluids, including large blood spills (the area is first cleaned with detergent before being disinfected).

ENDODONTIC THERAPY

Choice of irrigating solution after being diluted due to its efficacy against pathogenic organisms and pulp digestion in endodontic therapy.

Description

Waldent sodium hypochlorite is a broad-spectrum disinfectant that is effective for the disinfection of viruses, bacteria, fungi, and mycobacterium. However, sodium hypochlorite is not effective in the disinfection of bacterial spores and prions. Can also be used as an irrigating solution after being diluted.
