To prevent fogging during use, we highly recommend running the mirror under hot(warm) water for a few seconds, prior to inserting into the patient's mouth to raise the overall temperature of the mirror (prevents condensation).

A soft paper towel or muslin cloth can be used to remove excess water droplets.

 

 

  • Preparation: Sterilize the mirror thoroughly before use to ensure hygiene.
  • Ensure the patient is seated comfortably with adequate lighting for the procedure.
  • Positioning: Hold the mirror at an appropriate angle to capture the desired intraoral view.
  • Insert the mirror gently into the patient’s mouth, ensuring minimal discomfort.
  • Photography: Align the mirror to expose hard-to-view areas of the oral cavity.
  • Capture clear and detailed photographs using an intraoral camera or DSLR with appropriate settings.
  • Post-Use Care: Clean and sterilize the mirror immediately after use.
  • Store the mirror in a protective case to prevent scratches or damage.
