Description

Voco Provicol is a versatile dental product designed to meet the needs of dental professionals for temporary adhesion and dental care. This high-quality material offers several key attributes that make it a valuable asset in dental procedures.

Voco Provicol exhibits semi-elastic properties, ensuring a safe and secure adhesion for temporary dental work. This means it can be reliably used for inlays, onlays, crowns, partial crowns, bridges, attachments, and posts. It's also suitable for temporary filling of small one-surface cavities.

One of the standout features of Provicol is its support for the formation of tertiary dentine, making it particularly useful for procedures where this is a desired outcome. Additionally, it possesses bacteriostatic properties, helping to maintain a sterile environment within the mouth.

Provicol is eugenol-free, reducing the risk of allergies in patients. It is specially formulated to not inhibit the curing reaction of resin-based filling or luting materials. This makes it an ideal choice before adhesive luting with resin cements.

In practical terms, Provicol is easy to work with. It should be mixed at a 1:1 weight ratio of catalyst and base paste, and the material reaches a homogeneous consistency after approximately 20 seconds of mixing. The product remains workable for about 1.5 to 2 minutes, allowing for precise application and placement. Excess material can be removed after 3 to 5 minutes.

For added convenience, when using Provicol in tubes, moistening the cores with water is recommended, as it aids in the removal of temporaries. Residue removal is simplified by spraying crowns with a cooling spray.

Indications

  • Temporary luting of inlays, onlays, crowns, partial crowns, bridges, attachments and posts
  • Temporary filling of small cavities
