  • Post-Cure Flavor: Suitable for Room and Daylight
  • Polymerization Time: 3 - 5 Minutes (Depending on Tray Thickness)
  • Storage Conditions: 4°C to 23°C, Avoid Direct Sunlight
  • Store at temperatures of: 4 °C to 23 °C. Avoid direct sunlight.

Preparation:

  • Before starting, allow Voco Profibase Maxillae to reach room temperature.
  • Ensure you have all necessary equipment, including a standard light unit (halogen or UVA light), plaster models, and any additional tools required for your specific application.

Fabrication of Individual Tray:

  • Mark the margins for the individual tray on the plaster model. If needed, use a space maintainer. If not, insulate the plaster model.
  • Remove the protective foil from a Profibase Maxillae plate.
  • Carefully mold the plate onto the model, ensuring it covers the marked area.
  • Cut the desired rim as marked.
  • Shape a handle from the excess material if necessary.
  • Polymerize Profibase on the model using a standard light unit. Depending on the thickness of the tray, polymerize the reverse side for 3 - 5 minutes. A longer polymerization time can enhance the material's physical properties, so adjust as needed.
  • Once polymerized, the individual tray is immediately ready for use and can be worked upon without delay.

Fabrication of a Base Plate:

  • Mark the margin of the planned prosthesis base on the plaster model.
  • Block out any undercuts as usual.
  • Thinly isolate the model with an alginate isolation.
  • Carefully place a plate of Profibase Maxillae onto the model, ensuring it covers the marked area.
  • Adjust the rims with a penknife or suitable tool.
  • Polymerize the model with the base plate for 5 minutes in a standard halogen or UVA light unit. One single exposure is usually sufficient.

Supplementary Information:

  • For finishing the rims and the ridge, hard metal burs are most suited. Create cross-shaped retentions on the ridge before applying wax. A thin layer of sticky wax can be applied for further customization.

Precautionary Measures:

  • Profibase contains specific ingredients; do not use it if you or the patient has known hypersensitivities or allergies to any of these components.
  • Ensure sufficient and complete polymerization, as a too short exposure time or low light intensity may lead to a loss of stability.

6. Storage:

  • Store Voco Profibase Maxillae at temperatures between 4°C to 23°C. Avoid direct sunlight. Excess material can be used again if stored under light protection.

Expiry Date:

  • Do not use the product after the specified expiry date.
  • Gingiva shade
  • Simple and time-saving shaping by hand
  • Permanent stability and compressive strength
  • Pleasant mint flavour
  • Non-sticky consistency
  • Light-cured with standard halogen light (e.g. Individo Light Box) or UVA lights
