Description

Voco Ionoseal Syringe Refills offer a convenient and efficient solution for various dental procedures, providing a one-component light-curing glass ionomer composite cement with a range of essential features. This product is designed to save time, making it a preferred choice for dentists seeking rapid and hygienic application in their practice.

With an impressive compressive strength of 226 MPa, Ionoseal ensures robust and durable restorations. It goes beyond mere restoration, thanks to its fluoride release properties, which aid in preventing secondary caries. Ionoseal boasts high biocompatibility, ensuring patient safety, and is radiopaque, facilitating easy diagnostics.

This versatile material is suitable for multiple applications, including lining under all types of filling materials, extended fissure sealing, and the treatment of smaller lesions. The method of use is straightforward, involving cavity preparation, application, and curing using standard polymerization devices. Its stability post-curing allows for reliable, long-lasting results.

Users must consider some precautions, such as avoiding contact with certain materials, ensuring appropriate curing times and intensity, and being aware of potential hypersensitivities to specific ingredients. Proper storage between 4°C - 23°C is recommended to maintain product integrity.

INDICATIONS:

  • Lining under all types of filling material
  • Extended fissure sealing
  • Restoration of smaller lesions

Cavity Preparation:

  • Prepare the cavity according to established filling technique standards.
  • Ensure the tooth surface is completely dry to prevent contamination.

Pulp Protection (if needed):

  • For areas near the pulp, use a calcium hydroxide preparation to cover and protect.
  • In cavities lacking enamel on all sides, it's recommended to provide an adhesive bond for better adhesion.

Application of Ionoseal:

  • Ionoseal is available in a tube or syringe. Apply the required quantity directly onto the instrument or from the syringe tip.
  • Be extremely cautious to avoid contamination. Disinfect the tip after use.
  • For linings thicker than 1 mm, apply and cure in layers.
  • When using the syringe, do not pull back the plunger during or after use to maintain its functionality.

Light-Curing:

  • Use a conventional polymerization device with a minimum light output of 500 mW/cm² for halogen devices or 300 mW/cm² for LED devices.
  • Position the light source as close as possible to the surface (approximately 2 mm) for optimal curing.
  • Cure for a minimum of 20 seconds. Adjust curing time for greater distances.

Finishing:

  • After curing, finish the Ionoseal surface with a rotary instrument.
  • Follow the manufacturer's instructions for placing the filling material.
