  • Class V cavities should have a minimum depth of 1 mm.
  • Remove preparation residues with water spray, then dry with air (surface should remain slightly glossy, avoid overdrying).
  • Place a matrix if necessary.

Shade Selection:

  • Use a VITA shade guide on a moist tooth to select the appropriate shade.

Mixing:

  • Shake the powder and liquid bottles thoroughly for at least 3 seconds before dispensing.
  • Dispense a level spoonful of powder onto a mixing pad.
  • Close the bottle immediately after dispensing to protect the powder from moisture.
  • Add 2 drops of liquid per level scoop of powder (powder/liquid ratio 3.2:1 g/g).
  • Mix the powder into the liquid using spatulas made of solid plastic or other abrasion-proof materials.
  • Achieve a homogeneous consistency by spreading out the paste several times.

Application:

  • Apply the mixed Ionolux into the cavity with a suitable instrument and contour it.
  • Light-cure with a polymerization lamp.
  • For fillings over 2 mm in thickness, apply and light-cure in layers.

Light-Curing:

  • Use market-available polymerization lamps with an output not lower than 500 mW/cm².
  • Curing time is 20 seconds per layer.
  • Keep the light-curing lamp tip as close as possible to the filling surface for effective curing.
  • Curing depth may decrease if the distance is more than 5 mm.

Finishing:

  • After light-curing, remove excess material.
  • Finish and polish the filling as usual.
