PREPARATION:
- Prepare tooth using standard clinical guidelines.
- For optimum adhesion, condition the tooth with Riva conditioner (SDI Ltd.)
for 10 seconds. Rinse thoroughly with water and remove excess water. - In cases where pulp protection is necessary, use a calcium hydroxide liner or a resin-modified glass-ionomer liner such as Riva bond LC P/L (SDI Ltd.)
MIXING PROCEDURE:
- Paste / Paste ratio (g/g): 2.0/1.0
- Mixing time (min, sec.): 0’15"
- Working time (min, sec.):1,2
- From the start of mixing:1'45"
- Excess cement Tack light cure:5 seconds per surface For tack light curing, use a high power conventional polymerization device
(460-480 nm) - Excess cement: Self-curing gel-phase2 1’45” after seating the restoration
- Setting time (min, sec.)2(after seating the restoration): 4'30"
- Radiopacity:1.5 mm Al
Test conditions: temperature (23 ± 1°C, 73± 1°F), relative humidity
(50 ± 10%). ISO 9917-2 2 These times are approximate only and may vary based on storage conditions, humidity, age of the product, and temperature.
- Remove the syringe from the foil pack.
- Remove the cap from the syringe.
- Before each use, dispense a small amount to ensure even dispensing or to remove any dried-out paste. Discard this material.
- Extrude the required amount of pastes onto a mixing pad.
- Important: Ensure the thumb is positioned firmly in the middle of the plunger to obtain the correct dispensing ratio of the two pastes.
- Using a spatula, mix the two pastes together thoroughly for 15 seconds. Be careful not to incorporate air bubbles.
Note: Do not expose Riva cem paste directly to operatory light to avoid
the early setting of the material.
CEMENTATION PROCEDURE:
- Ensure the internal surface of the restoration to be seated is cleaned, dried, and prepared according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Apply a thin layer of cement to the bonding surface.
- Seat the restoration within 30 seconds of completion of mixing before any light curing is carried out.
