Description

CalApex is a premium calcium hydroxide-based root canal sealer designed for the permanent obturation of root canals. Its two-component system, consisting of a base and an activator, ensures precise mixing and optimal consistency. Supplied in tubes or a cartridge, CalApex provides excellent adhesion and sealing properties when used with gutta-percha points. It is insoluble, ensuring long-lasting results and effective protection against reinfection. Suitable for use after pulp extirpation and chemomechanical preparation, this sealer enhances treatment outcomes by promoting biocompatibility and reliable obturation in endodontic procedures.

Preparation: Complete pulp extirpation and thorough chemomechanical preparation of the root canal system. Ensure the canal is clean and dry before applying the sealer.
Mixing: Dispense equal amounts of the base and activator components onto a clean mixing pad. Mix thoroughly until a homogeneous consistency is achieved.
Application:
Obturation: Insert gutta-percha points into the root canal system while the sealer is still fresh. Compact gently to ensure complete obturation.
Setting: Allow the sealer to set as per the recommended time to ensure a permanent seal.
Post-Procedure Care: Complete the final restoration, ensuring the coronal seal is intact to prevent reinfection.
