Features
  • Function: Applies precise labial or lingual torque to square/rectangular archwires
  • Wire Compatibility: Suitable for (.018", .019", .022", ) stainless steel wires
  • Key Mechanism: Enables controlled, localized torque application
  • Grip Design: Parallel grip prevents wire damage
  • Working Edges: Smooth, beveled edges protect wire surface
  • Material: Durable, corrosion-resistant stainless steel
  • Ergonomics: Comfortable, well-balanced handle design
  • Sterilization: Fully autoclavable
  • Choose the appropriate square or rectangular archwire (.018", .019", .022", etc.) that requires torque adjustment
  • Open the torquing plier and position the section of the archwire where torque is needed between the plier’s beaks. Ensure the wire is seated securely in the milled rectangular slot of the plier or key, matching the wire size
  • Insert the torquing key into the designated slot on the plier. The key acts as a lever, allowing you to apply controlled labial or lingual torque to the wire segment
  • While holding the plier steady, rotate the key gently in the desired direction (labially or lingually) to introduce the required torque to that section of the wire. The parallel grip ensures the wire is not crushed or deformed during this process
  • Remove the key and carefully release the plier from the wire. Inspect the wire to ensure the torque is accurate and the rest of the wire remains undistorted
  • If additional torque is required, reposition the plier and key on the same or another section of the wire and repeat the process
  • Allows accurate placement of labial or lingual torque to square or rectangular archwires using a key mechanism for controlled adjustments
  • The included key enables orthodontists to insert torque in a specific section of the archwire without distorting other sections, providing easy and efficient torque modification
  • Parallel gripping action prevents crushing or damaging the wire during torque application, ensuring wire integrity and patient comfort
  • Suitable for both single and multiple tooth torque applications, allowing for tailored orthodontic treatment
  • Facilitates precise alignment of teeth and optimal force application, improving overall orthodontic results

Description

The OSL Torquing Plier With Key is a specialized orthodontic instrument designed for applying controlled labial or lingual torque to square or rectangular archwires during orthodontic treatment. Its unique key mechanism allows orthodontists to adjust the amount of torque precisely, ensuring accurate placement and alignment of teeth according to individual treatment needs. The parallel grip design prevents crushing or damaging the wire, while the smooth, contoured working edges protect the wire surface. This plier is primarily used for fine-tuning the torque in archwires, enhancing tooth movement and treatment outcomes in both single and multiple tooth adjustments.
