  • Power On: Press and hold the power button until the LCD screen lights up. The device will initialize, and you will see the color bar graph on the display.
  • File Insertion: Insert the endodontic file into the root canal. Ensure the file is secure and properly positioned for measurement.
  • Apex Measurement: As you approach the apex, the I-Root will provide real-time feedback through color changes on the graph and beep sounds. Intermittent beeps guide your progress, and when the apex is reached, a distinct long beep will sound while the red text on the LCD screen flickers.
  • Visual Cues: The color bar graph changes from blue to green as you approach the apex. A tooth-shaped color icon will start to flicker in sync with the beeps when you're near the apex, aiding your identification of the apex's location.
  • File Removal: Once you've reached the apex, carefully remove the endodontic file from the root canal.
  • Power Off: To preserve battery life, the I-Root has an auto power-off feature. If you're done using the device, it will automatically turn off after a period of inactivity.
  • Troubleshooting: If you encounter any issues, you can perform a self-diagnostic check by pressing the designated buttons on the device. Refer to the user manual for specific troubleshooting steps.
  • Patient Management Software (Optional): If you've opted for the Patient Management Software (PMS), connect the I-Root to your laptop. Use the software to verify measurements on a larger screen, add notes, comments, and record treatment outcomes. You can also print the results for your records or to show patients.
  • Charging: When the battery is low, charge the I-Root using the provided charger. The long-lasting lithium-ion battery offers over 60 hours of usage.
  • Maintenance: Keep the device clean and free from debris. Store it in a safe place when not in use. Regularly check for software updates to ensure optimal performance.
