Flexural Strength : 119 MPa

Shades : Tetric PowerFill is available in the following shades:

  • Universal shade: IVA, IVB,
  • Bleach shade : IVW

Composition :

  • The monomer matrix is composed of dimethacrylates (20– 21 wt%).
  • The fillers contain barium glass, ytterbium trifluoride, mixed oxide and copolymers (79– 80 wt.%).
  • Additives, initiators, stabilizers and pigments are additional ingredients (< 1.0 wt%).
  • The total content of inorganic fillers is 76–77 wt% or 53 – 54 vol%.
  • The particle size of inorganic fillers is between 40 nm and 3 µm

Side effects :

  • In individual cases, components of Tetric PowerFill may lead to sensitization. Tetric PowerFill should not be used in such cases.
  • To avoid possible irritation of the pulp, areas close to the pulp should be protected with a suitable pulp/ dentin protector (selectively apply a calcium hydroxide-based preparation in areas close to the pulp and cover with suitable cavity liner).

Shelf life and storage :

  • Storage temperature 2– 28 °C (36–82 °F)
  • Close syringes/Cavifils immediately after usage. Exposure to light leads to premature polymerization.
  • Do not use Tetric PowerFill after the indicated date of expiration.
  • Date of expiration: see information on Cavifils, syringes and packages.

Shade Determination:

  • Clean the teeth before selecting the shade.
  • Choose the shade with the tooth still moist.

Isolation:

  • Ensure adequate relative or absolute isolation using suitable auxiliaries like OptraGate or OptraDam Plus.

Cavity Preparation:

  • Prepare the cavity based on the adhesive technique requirements.
  • Avoid sharp internal edges and angles in caries-free areas.
  • Cavity dimensions are determined by the extent of caries or the size of the old restoration.
  • Round sharp enamel edges in the posterior region.
  • Clean, but do not prepare, caries-free cervical defects.
  • Remove all residue from the cavity with water spray and dry it.

Pulp Protection/Base:

  • Do not use the 3sCure mode for restorations near the pulp.
  • Do not apply a base material when using an enamel/dentin bonding agent.
  • Only cover deep areas close to the pulp with a calcium hydroxide material.
  • Use a pressure-resistant cement in such cases.
  • Do not cover other cavity walls since they support bonding with an enamel/dentin adhesive.

Apply Matrix/Interdental Wedge:

  • Use a wrap-around matrix for cavities affecting the proximal area or a sectional matrix, and wedge it in place.

Conditioning/Application of Bonding Agent:

  • Follow the Instructions for the Use of the bonding agent.
  • A recommended bonding agent is Adhese Universal, a single-component, light-cured adhesive suitable for direct and indirect bonding procedures.

Application of Tetric PowerFill:

  • Apply Tetric PowerFill in increments of up to 4 mm and adapt it to the cavity walls.
  • Ensure sufficient exposure to the curing light for complete polymerization.

Finishing/Checking the Occlusion/Polishing:

  • After polymerization, remove excess material with suitable finishers or fine diamonds.
  • Check occlusion and articulation.
  • Make appropriate grinding corrections to prevent premature contacts or undesired articulation paths.
  • Polish the restoration to a high gloss using silicone polishers, polishing discs, and polishing strips.
  • The chameleoneffect ensures a natural shade blend
  • True-to-nature esthetics for posterior restorations due to Ivocerin and Aessencio Technology
  • Ivocerin and the Aessencio technology allow you to achieve the same high aesthetics as with conventional composites
  • Excellent margin quality in combination with Adhese Universal
  • Reliable depth of cure of increments of up to 4 mm in thickness
  • Low susceptibility to process-related air entrapments
  • Excellent handling properties to suit every situation
  • Easy creation of anatomical structures because of low stickiness
  • Fewer errors thanks to short curing times starting from 3 seconds
  • Effective combination with Tetric PowerFlow

Description

Ivoclar Tetric PowerFill Composite Syringe is a versatile dental composite engineered for the posterior region, offering superior esthetic outcomes. This sculptable 4-mm composite stands out for its ability to create restorations that closely mimic the natural appearance of teeth in the back of the mouth. It is an indispensable choice for dental practitioners seeking true-to-nature results in the challenging posterior region. Notably, Tetric PowerFill features a unique quick-curing capability, with light-curing times starting at just 3 seconds when used with specific curing lights. This efficiency enhances clinical workflow and patient comfort. Its reliability extends to depth of cure, low shrinkage, and optimal flexural strength. The clinical performance aligns with conventional composites, and the low stickiness facilitates precision in crafting anatomical structures. Tetric PowerFill's innovative Ivocerin light initiator and Aessencio Technology ensure a natural esthetic appearance, even in 4-mm increments. It comes in various shades and serves a wide range of indications in posterior dental restorations, making it a valuable asset for dental professionals aiming for both functional and esthetic excellence.

Shades: Tetric PowerFill is available in the following shades:
