Preparation:

• Gather necessary instruments: ObturaPro Pen, Pen Tips (S, F, FM), gutta percha points, hand plugger, and sealer.
• Dry the root canal using paper points.

Tip Selection:

• Choose the appropriate Pen Tip (S, F, FM) based on the procedure and root canal dimensions.

Gutta Percha Point Insertion:

• Mark the root canal length using rubber stoppers.
• Coat the selected gutta percha point with sealer.
• Insert the gutta percha point into the root canal using a pumping action.

Excess Gutta Percha Removal:

• Use the Pen Tip to cut excess gutta percha. Exercise caution and precision.

Heating & Insertion:

• Heat the Pen Tip and insert it with the gutta percha to 4-6mm short of the working length.
• Stop heating and maintain pressure for about 10 seconds for effective compaction.

Pen Tip Removal:

• Remove the Pen Tip after heating for 1-2 seconds to prevent gutta percha from coming out.

Compaction:

• Compact the warmed gutta percha using a hand plugger to achieve a hermetic seal in all canals.
