Preparation:

• Teeth Cleaning: Ensure the patient's teeth are thoroughly cleaned and free from any debris or plaque.
• Isolation: Use a cheek retractor to keep the teeth dry and accessible.

Bonding:

• Etching: Apply an etching gel to the tooth surface where the bracket will be placed. Leave it for the recommended time (usually around 30 seconds).
• Rinse and Dry: Thoroughly rinse off the etching gel and dry the teeth.
• Bonding Agent: Apply a thin layer of bonding agent to the etched tooth surface and cure with a dental curing light if necessary.
• Bracket Placement: Apply a small amount of orthodontic adhesive to the base of the bracket.
• Positioning: Carefully place the bracket on the tooth, ensuring correct alignment and positioning. Press firmly to ensure good contact and remove any excess adhesive.

Ligation:

• Wire Insertion: Insert the orthodontic wire into the bracket slots.
• Ligating: Use elastomeric ligatures or ligature wires to secure the wire in place. The generous undertie wing space of the bracket will facilitate easy ligation.

Final Adjustments:

• Check Alignment: Ensure all brackets and wires are properly aligned and make any necessary adjustments.
• Patient Instructions: Provide the patient with care instructions, including proper oral hygiene practices and any dietary restrictions to avoid damaging the brackets.
