Description

Cotisen Mouth Prop (also bite block) is a wedge-shaped implement used by dentists working with the patients who have difficulty in keeping their mouth open, wide and steady during a procedure, or the procedures where the patient is sedated. It has a rubber-like texture and is typically made from thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) material.

Wear gloves to maintain hygiene during application
Insertion: Gently open the patient’s mouth.
Position the mouth prop between the upper and lower teeth on one side of the mouth.
Place it in a way that provides optimal support without causing discomfort or excessive pressure
Adjustment: Ensure the patient feels comfortable with the mouth prop in place.
Verify that it is secure and won’t shift during the procedure.
During Use: Periodically check on the patient to ensure comfort.
Make adjustments as necessary if the patient reports any discomfort.
Removal: After the procedure, gently remove the mouth prop.
